8869 Avis

8869 is home to neighborhood nonprofit Inside Southwest Detroit, and it bookends The Alley Project, a youth-led street art gallery. The project was the redesign of a small commercial building and former square dance dress factory into community program space and includes rental space for neighborhood businesses. The community design process was led by DCDC, and the design was a collaboration between DCDC and Et al. Collaborative.
