Brilliant Detroit North Central Outdoor Community Space

DCDC worked with families in Detroit’s North Central neighborhood to develop a conceptual design for an outdoor community space adjacent to the Brilliant Detroit house. DCDC facilitated a community engaged design process to determine community identified priorities for the outdoor space. The process resulted in a design that includes a stage/deck next to the Brilliant Detroit house, a free standing tree house/play structure, a pergola and planters for vertical growing, and landscaping.
